Geschichte, Eigentümerwechsel & die zehn bekanntesten Filme

Hollywoods Erfolg fußt nicht nur auf großen Stars, sondern auch auf den Studios dahinter. In diesem Blogpost stelle ich fünf einfluss­reiche Labels vor, skizziere kurz ihre Historie, verrate, wer sie heute betreibt oder aufgekauft hat, und liste jeweils die Top 10 ihrer bekanntesten Filme.

1. Touchstone Pictures

Gründung & Historie:
1984 gründete die Walt Disney Company Touchstone Pictures als Label für Filme mit erwachseneren Themen jenseits des klassischen Disney-Programms. Höhepunkt waren Produktionen wie Pretty Woman (1990) und Lincoln (2012). Seit 2018 ruht das Label weitgehend, bleibt aber im Besitz von Disney.

Gründung & Historie:
1982 als Nova Pictures gestartet, 1983 in TriStar Pictures umbenannt. Bereits 1987 übernahm Sony Pictures Entertainment das Label, seither agiert TriStar als Boutique-Imprint für ausgewählte Prestige- und Genre-Filme.
